Driving through the countryside, one can see the distinguishing look of a vibrant red barn against a sea of green vegetation. The barnwood siding on the aged building has a story of its own, withstanding sun, rain, snow, wind and time. When these historic structures of America’s past find it difficult to stand on their own, specialized crews head out to carefully dismantle them and salvage the antique wood.

The coloring and weathering of each piece of old barnwood siding make this salvaged material unique for many types of projects, from residential reclaimed wood accent walls and sliding doors to table tops, benches, and framing. The unparalleled depth and character of antique barn wood paneling add a rich flavor to a variety of arts and crafts projects. Salvaged barn siding from Reclaimed Wood Chicago has also found a new home in a variety of commercial office and restaurant spaces around the midwest.

Using reclaimed barnwood siding as-is can add exceptional tones and textures to any project, or plane and sand the reverse side to bring out the tight grain patterns of old growth wood.

Our inventory of salvaged barnwood siding includes red, gray, brown and white colors. Lengths and widths may vary, and can be cut to project specifications in our full service wood shop.

Reclaimed barnwood siding is less than 1 1/4 inch thick.

Prices are subject to availability. Inventory changes regularly. All wood is denailed, powerwashed, and kiln dried.
