Despite being walked on for over a century, old wood planks still have plenty of life in them. Protected from the elements by the siding and roof, the thicker and sturdier floor boards, joists, and rafters are full of history and charm. Cleaning and lightly prepping salvaged wood planks brings out stunning grain patterns and kerf marks from the saw blades that originally cut them over a century ago.
Salvaged wood planks are versatile for many types of projects, from reclaimed table tops and frames to benches and furniture. Examples from our customers include using the old planks to build in-store product displays, installing salvaged floor joists as book shelving during a home library remodel, and repurposing old barn rafters into a beautifully reclaimed media stand.
Reclaimed wood planks typically range from 1.25 to 3.5 inches thick by 3 to 12 inches wide. Lengths and widths may vary, and can be cut to project specifications in our full service wood shop.
